Josh joined the Marine Corp on June 6th, 2004. In March of 2011 he left for his 3rddeployment, this one to Afghanistan. On June 15th while on patrol, Josh stepped on an IED losing both legs, a finger, and several other injuries. He then spent the next 16 months at Bethesda, Md and San Antonio, TX going through numerous surgeries and rehab.

I grew up in the Houston area (Dickinson) and joined the military in 2007. In 2009 I was injured during a combat mission resulting in amputation of my right leg below the knee, burns, and other injuries.
